Our team was tasked with designing the successor to the acclaimed Cintiq 21ux drawing tablet. This product would be dramatically larger and cater to the professional user. With a 24” screen, there were many ergonomic issues to consider.  The articulating stand itself was to the main challenge, and we spent weeks conceptualizing and prototyping stand mechanisms until we arrived at a solution that was elegant, robust, and intuitive..

Our daily lives revolve around our smart phone, and keeping it charged. However, cables are a nuisance, and add to household clutter. I devised a strategy to channel the cables neatly from the top platform down to the floor, while being almost totally hidden- yet accessible.

The goal with this headset was to create an iconic design that would set Plantronics apart from its competition. It was for the digital extrovert. We wanted a design with minimal styling expression, yet an unmistakable whisper of Plantronics DNA.

Ziba had asked me to develop a holiday mailer to send to our clients and local businesses. They gave me carte blanche on how to execute this concept. I came back with a concept that needed no additional packaging or protection to mail- instead, the design aesthetic was only reinforced by the beating it took during its transit through the mail.

As a Principle Industrial Designer at Cricut, I drove the design development of our next generation of cutting machines and accessories- in particular the Maker 3, Explore 3, and Roll Holder. Although Maker 3 was a design refresh, Explore 3 and the cross compatible vinyl Roll Holder were almost completely new products.

Wacom has a long line of award winning, well designed digital drawing tablets. Cintiq tablets are purposeful, professional tools- they are designed to perform the task at hand, free of excessive ornamentation. The soft form, with pleasant, sloping edges and visceral textures are totally functional, and make the Cintiq 12WX a joy to use.
